Family events
One of our main aims is to bring the history and heritage of our area to life for all ages. We hope to do this as creatively as possible offering a wide range of programmes for children and adults. Family time can be spent browsing our exhibition or taking part in one of our workshops together. You can arrange your own activity-based arty party or take part in our weekly parent and toddler mornings. We have fun family events on at Easter, Lughnasa, Halloween, and Christmas.
Sensory arts experiences for the very young play a vital role in early development. We hope to provide a safe space for parents and children to interact and learn through art. The gardens and woods surrounding the centre offer a stimulating environment for exploration at all times of the year and some interesting toddler art could grow out of this. Older children will love to learn of the myths and magic that are an important part of our heritage, while our more recent history as a model estate is still visible as you walk around the village.
Keep an eye on the upcoming events tab for a range of family fun events during the year.
